The bad things from FTWD 306

  1. Trying to keep secrets. Jeremiah Otto may want to hear about what is going on in order to make his decisions, but there are times when secrets can’t be kept. He can’t expect the people who went on the mission with Troy and Madison not to talk about what happened…especially considering how intense and disturbing it all was.
  2. Fear and egocentric thought. It is understandable to focus on recovery and prepare for what is next, but that doesn’t mean forgetting about living in the moment. When the native group showed their power by lighting fires all around the ranch, it not only showed how unprepared the group is but how vulnerable they are when they aren’t alerted.
  3. A family falling apart. The Otto family seems to have very different opinions between the three on how things should be run. Sadly, when things break down it resulted in fists flying and tempers rising instead of reasonable discussion and working together. It is only a matter of time before it all falls apart.
  4. “I’m high on life!” It’s great to see Nick turn down alcohol and other temptations while on the ranch considering his past with drugs and how he struggled with sobriety in the past. Hopefully this is a sign that the future will be a clean one for him going forward.
  5. Losing the Trimbol family. Leaving the ranch to find safety was understandable, but they were attacked by someone and killed. Even one of their horses was being eaten alive along the road. Gretchen seemed like she could have been a great character to add to the cast, but that won’t be happening.
