One of the most talked about scenes from the July 2, 2017 episode of Fear The Walking Dead involved Madison, Jeremiah, Nick, and the Trimbol family.

When the going gets tough, sometimes the tough get going. That’s exactly what happened at the Broke Jaw Ranch during season 3 episode 6 of Fear The Walking Dead titled ‘Red Dirt’ which aired on July 2, 2017.

Scared for their own lives and those of their families, many people from the ranch left after feeling threatened by the native people of the region. However, what they didn’t know is that off the ranch is just as scary, if not more so, than staying on.

One particular scene showed both the threat within and outside as well as gave a peek into the brain of a major character. Here is the scene in question titled ‘The Trimbols’ as shared on the official YouTube channel of AMC:

After discovering the horse of The Trimbols near the fence of the ranch, Jeremiah Otto told Nick to get Madison so they could check on the family and see what happened to allow their horse to be loose from the trailer.

Arriving at the Trimbol family recreational vehicle, Jeremiah Otto takes point and opens the door. Once inside, two gunshots are heard as Nick sneaks around to the back to take a look at what is happening with the trailer.

The RV is riddled with bullet holes, and Madison asks Vernon what is going on. He says Kathy was dead too. Nick sees their son on the ground next to the tire as the three continue to move to the back of the vehicle.

In the horse trailer, the other horse was being devoured by a group of walkers while the animal screamed in pain. Jeremiah and Madison put down the horse and a few walkers before seeing that Gretchen Trimbol was one of the undead.

Both Madison and Jeremiah hesitated to pull the trigger. Nick asks if they are going to shoot, but then puts a bullet through her head himself. Finally, he gives Madison a look as if to know what kind of monster did this to the Trimbol family.
