Fear The Walking Dead ratings take the top spot for Sunday
By Sonya Iryna
Fear The Walking Dead has had lower but consistent ratings this season. Even with a drop the show is still winning Sunday night views.
Fear The Walking Dead ratings for episode 6 “Red Dirt” dipped a bit on Sunday night. The show pulled in 2.1 million views according to TV By The Numbers. While that is lower than previous episodes this season Fear still finished at the top of the Sunday night live views for cable.
Considering that last weekend was a holiday weekend the drop in ratings isn’t that surprising. The Live+3 view numbers should raise that total by a million or more if the Live+3 ratings stay consistent.
Fear The Walking Dead is having the strongest season yet in terms of storylines and character development. Fans who had given up on the show after its somewhat uneven first two seasons are finding the third season to be the charm.
Heading into the midseason finale on Sunday night Fear The Walking Dead continues to be a solid performer in the ratings. Week after week Fear tops the ratings for Sunday night cable.
The Midseason Finale
The Fear The Walking Dead midseason finale should pick up higher ratings than the season premiere did. There’s been a lot of good buzz about season 3. Fans who abandoned the show early on are slowly returning to see how much the show has changed.

Now that the characters are back in the US and are residents of Broke Jaw Ranch it will be interesting to see if they end up in control of the ranch. It could happen. Madison is expertly manipulating Troy to try to keep him stable. Jeremiah Otto is a bit unpredictable, like his son Troy. But his frequent headaches signal a possible medical condition that might mean he isn’t around for much longer.
That would leave Jake Otto and Troy Otto vying for control of the ranch. Now that Alicia is in a romantic relationship with Jake and Madison is manipulating Troy no matter who wins control one of the Clarks will have a lot of influence. The Clarks may be able to take over Broke Jaw Ranch without any fighting at all.
