The good stuff from Fear 308
Ofelia having visions. Much like her father in previous episodes, Ofelia seeing things that aren’t really there and being inspired by other family members may have seemed unrealistic. But the family ties are definitely strong within the Salazars, and this should be continued within their bloodline.
Strand finding Abigail. The yacht may have been his safe haven. It also could have reminded him of Thomas. It was nice to see a reunion during the episode, even if wasn’t one of the most powerful meetings in the history of the show. Still, it was a nice farewell to something that was so important for a period of time on the show.
Walker showing respect to Madison. He was willing to let her walk. He told her what poison was used in the coffee. He gave them a chance to leave the ranch unharmed. Instead of taking the offer and moving on, Madison figuratively spit in his face and said the ranch is her home, but it was a big gesture for Walker.
It’s not just here. Hearing about the outbreak on a global scale is something some fans need to hear. Much like fans already know, there is no safe haven, and no matter where survivors go, they will need to deal with the walkers. It’s a revelation they needed on this show, even if it was already known by people reading the comics.
A chance for sacrifice. Jeremiah Otto’s selfishness and inability to work anything out and Madison’s unwillingness to take his life left it all up to Nick. There was absolutely no hesitation for Nick to do what needed to be done, as he shot Jeremiah right through the skull.
