The interesting stuff from FTWD 308

  1. No use for ‘brown’ people? Jeremiah Otto continues to drift from tolerable man into racist and sexist territory. While that kind of thought and talk does exist in the world, the apocalypse should remind people that there are only two races anymore: human and zombie.
  2. ‘Red Dirt’. Episode 306 of the series had that title, but it still remains as important as ever. Otto’s story about killing Walker’s father and uncle and burying their bodies under Nick’s house was powerful, but very revealing about who these people on the Broke Jaw Ranch really are.
  3. “You have no idea what I carry.” Well, as a mother, isn’t it your job to talk with your kids? Madison made the decision to keep secrets from Alicia and lie to the people of the ranch to cover for Troy. Be open and honest, and your family will respect you. Losing their adoration is YOUR fault, Madison.
  4. Lots of commercials for eyeglasses. I never realized how many commercials there are for glasses. Showing them being hand-crafted with some low prices are great, but as someone who doesn’t wear them, it’s hard to pay attention to them. But hey, they look like nice glasses for cheap!
  5. Montgomery, Alabama. So, Madison’s mom used to live in Alabama. While that’s sort of close to Georgia and Virginia, this story could open things up for more discussion about Madison’s possible connection to someone on the cast of The Walking Dead. That speculation will likely never be silenced, and this evidence strengthens that case.
