Review: Fear The Walking Dead episode 308 ‘Children of Wrath’
By Adam Carlson
Overall impression of FTWD 308
Fans who expected an action packed midseason finale for season 3 are likely to be disappointed, but for the most part this was exactly what the series needed to keep moving the story forward past the midway mark.

Madison’s attempts to redeem herself felt like too little too late, but the deal she made with Walker to make peace between the two communities finally shows her taking leadership and stepping up while thinking of others.
Sadly, the others being thought of aren’t the people of the ranch or anyone with the last name Otto. She will need to cover her tracks will and really make it seem like Jeremiah sacrificed himself for the best of the ranch. But it’s still lies…and that’s never good since those untruths usually get exposed.
The segments with Strand and the yacht were nice, but felt very out of place in this episode. It’s good for him to move on from what he was, but with so much going on, these scenes would have been better placed in the previous episode and not the midseason finale.

As a whole, the midseason finale of Fear The Walking Dead will leave fans underwhelmed. Considering the insane pace and amount of intense moments in previous episodes of the season, it just didn’t meet the same levels of intrigue. But it does set things up nicely for surviving when the show returns for the second half of season 3 later this year.
