The interesting stuff from FTWD 307

  1. We get it. You want us to watch Preacher. While watching the episode, there were a TON of advertisements for the comic book turned AMC show. While it failed to grab my attention and hold it, Preacher needs all the help it can get to succeed and have many more seasons.
  2. Which one is The Governor? Negotiations between Jake and Walker took some weird turns, but at times it felt like the scene from The Walking Dead where Rick was attempting to negotiate with The Governor. But who is the bad guy and who is the good guy in this situation?
  3. But what about water? There are always some great sayings on AMC’s zombie dramas, but Jeremiah Otto saying that he wouldn’t pee in Walker’s mouth if he was dying of thirst was both gross and hilarious. Thankfully, that combination is exactly my kind of comedy.
  4. The meaning of ‘Apocalypse’. The term is often used to describe the end of the world, but when broken down, it translates from the greek word apokaluptein into Old French meaning ‘The Great Unveiling’. Knowledge is power!
  5. People are assets. It’s amazing how people can go from being loyal soldiers to enemies or even the undead at a moment’s notice. Situations like this are reminiscent of humanity, where people can be hugely unpredictable as well.
