Overall impression of FTWD 307

Sadly, this episode of Fear The Walking Dead will likely be remembered for being where the people at Broke Jaw Ranch got just about everything wrong that they could and set a war into motion that they really can’t win.

More from Undead Walking

The main focus of this episode was to raise the tensions between the group at the ranch and the people at the Black Hat reservation so that a showdown could happen in the next episode, which happens to be the midseason finale.

As far as positives to, there aren’t many. It was hard to watch some of the decisions made by these characters and watch how disjointed communication was at the ranch. In fact, there were so many lies and half-truths being spread around, that nobody knew the entire story.

Plus, the show has deteriorated in many ways into having too many racial and gender issues. While those are real issues in the world and the show is bold in addressing them, it makes for uncomfortable situations.

As a whole, this was a necessary episode in moving the story forward, but won’t be anyone’s favorite. Tensions continued to grow to the midseason final, which hopefully is much better than this episode was.
