#1. Here’s not here or there

Misty Davis on Facebook asks: “My question is about Morgan’s rantings in Here’s not Here specifically the line 16 hours and 19 on the floor. You know what it is. Any ideas on the meaning? Did I miss something that explains it or is it just one of those things TWD does to make us wonder???”

One thing The Walking Dead does very well is leave things open to interpretation. Sadly, another thing the hit show does on a regular occasion is include nods to other shows or movies and include Easter eggs for fans.

Sadly, I think this is a case of the show just trying to make Morgan seem as paranoid and mentally unstable as possible. Reciting numbers and phrases and using the writing on the walls and surroundings were a great way to get that point across in a short amount of time instead of focusing more time on Morgan’s solo story.

This was a great move by AMC, as fans didn’t react very well to Here’s Not Here. That’s not really the fault of Lennie James, his character Morgan, or the story being told, but more so because it got told when the life of a major character was hanging in the balance.

While it is possible these numbers mean something to the crew or the show or a reference to something previous is not known. It could be the amount of time it took Duane to turn or something to do with Jenny and the house they lived at. But for now it is all a mystery.
