#4. The new power couple

Antoinette Hine on Facebook asks: “Jesus and Aaron are now together in the comics would this work for the show?”

Losing Eric in the comic book series was crushing for Aaron. He was a casualty of the war between the survivors from the nearby communities and The Saviors in issue 118, leaving Aaron single and unready to enter the world of dating.

Fast forwarding to issue 169, Jesus finally admitted to Rick that there is something going on between him and Aaron. This revelation comes with both of them declining to go on the trip to Ohio since they want to stay nearby and settle down.

Since the show doesn’t always follow the comics, there is a chance that Eric will survive the war with Negan’s men and continue to live with Aaron. However, if it does choose to go the comic book route, it should transition flawlessly, just like in the comics.

There was a pull between the two in the comics that just felt natural, and that was conveyed very well in the storytelling and the artwork. If Ross Marquand and Tom Payne can pull that off on the AMC show, it will be just as great as when it happened in the comics.
