5. The Ricktator Will Return

It’s been a bit since the Ricktator has made an appearance. The ruthless leader who bit a man’s throat out to save Carl and Michonne. That Rick was a guy pushed to his absolute limit who wasn’t afraid to get savage. But he’ll be back.

In The Walking Dead season 7 finale there some glimmers of that Rick. When Negan was getting ready to kill Carl with Lucille and he was taunting Rick. Rick got right back in Negan’s face and told him that even if he killed Carl in front of Rick it didn’t matter because Negan and The Saviors were all already dead.

It was good to see that Rick again. The Ricktator that fights for those he loves instead of the broken Rick that was hustling for Negan after the deaths of Glenn and Abe. The survivors are going to need that Rick to take down Negan and The Saviors.

Even with the help of the other communities Rick is going to need to be that confident ruthless leader again if they are going to have a chance to defeat Negan. The Saviors have better numbers and they are better armed than Rick and the others. Rick’s going to have to make strategic plans and be willing to carry them out if the communities are going to survive All Out War.

Rick shaved off the Ricktator beard when the group landed in Alexandria. But he’s been getting kind of scruffy in the seasons since then. If the beard starts growing again Negan better watch out because that means the Ricktator is coming back.
