#2 Negan has too many enemies outside who know too much about the Sanctuary

In addition to insiders like Dwight and Eugene who could potentially turn against him, there are at least three people outside the Sanctuary who could give valuable information to Negan’s enemies.

Number one: Daryl

Daryl was kept in a cell at first, but was then put to work and was thus able to see how the Sanctuary is organized, how they use walkers on their fence, how Negan tries to recruit people… Knowing how observant Daryl is, we can assume that even in a weakened state, he was able to take mental notes about all of this.

Number two: Carl

Negan pretty much treated him to a tour of the Sanctuary, and then simply took him back to Alexandria. Carl may not have seen as much as Daryl, but he did get to see Negan’s apartments as well as the big room where Negan has his furnace – this could be a very strategic place, as we can assume he doesn’t only use it to burn people’s faces, or… his own doctor.

And number three… Sherry?

Finally, the third person who may or may not resurface, but certainly has the most information to share, is Sherry. We do not know if Sherry will come back, but if she did, and had a mind to help Rick and his allies, she would probably have a wealth of information to share. As a former worker at the Sanctuary and Negan’s favorite “wife”, she could be an extremely valuable source of information: she knows the compound perfectly, and is also one of the persons who know Negan best.
