The Walking Dead season 8 will ‘break’ characters even more
With the advent of All Out War, the characters of The Walking Dead universe are going to be challenged and broken more than ever before.
Robert Kirkman confirmed the fears of The Walking Dead Family when he told members of the Television Critics Association that things are going to go from bad to worse for the characters we know and love on The Walking Dead.
The story has been building toward All Out War for some time and now that the pieces are in place, Kirkman says it’s time to inflict even more pain on Rick and the gang. As if they haven’t been through enough, right?
"“We all know it’s the All Out War storyline. Season eight, we’re trying to do a more fast-paced, action-packed season really focusing on momentum. Over the first seven seasons, we’ve set all the characters into place, and now it’s time to break them, to a certain extent.”"
To reach this point, Kirkman says that the world of The Walking Dead needed to get bigger, to bring in more people and more locations. He explains:
Based on this, it sounds like season 8 of The Walking Dead is going to be a game of Rock’em Sock’em Robots, and whoever is left standing is the winner.
