Alicia Clark played a big role in the first half of Fear The Walking Dead season 3, but what should fans expect from her in the remainder of the season?

While many characters have had linear progressions on Fear The Walking Dead, Alicia Clark has been jumping around, taking several steps forward while also going backwards on several occasions through the first half of season 3.

Overall, she was happy with her life before the zombie apocalypse. She was a good student, she had a boyfriend, she was looking forward to college and preparing for her future before that was all taken away from her, and she was clinging to it as the world fell down around her.

Even in the early stages of the outbreak, Alicia was far too trusting. She still would want to blindly help people or get to know strangers, giving them more information than they should have when resources are so valuable.

Sadly, Alicia still hasn’t changed in her need for the opposite sex. Following the midseason finale for season 3, Miss Clark has seemingly grown attached to Jake Otto after starting what initially was intended to be a purely physical relationship.

Her feelings for Jake could make things even more complicated going forward. Alicia’s mother Madison made a big power move that will shake up the entire Broke Jaw Ranch and leave a spot open for someone to take control, and Jake should be in the running for that gig.

The bad part is that Alicia will be torn between her relationship with Jake and allegiance to her mother. Unless Madison is willing to sit back and let Jake take control, this could be a messy situation that won’t quickly be resolved at the ranch.

Her ‘bible study’ is worthy of noting, but shouldn’t be a major issue going forward. Unless the group is extremely high and walkers or rival humans take over their settlement, it is likely a moot issue and something that can help her cling to what is left of humanity.

For now, Alicia is a support character in a bigger story. Sadly, she has yet to really take the spotlight on Fear The Walking Dead while others like her brother Nick, her mother Madison, and their travel companions have taken center stage. Hopefully, she will have a chance to shine when season 3 returns to AMC on Sunday, September 10, 2017.
