Extended fantasy scene from The Walking Dead in season 7 DVD set

For those fans of The Walking Dead who are missing Glenn and Abraham, the season 7 DVD set features some very special extended scenes.

After one of the most gut-wrenching episodes in The Walking Dead, the TWD Family was treated to a fantasy scene featuring the entire gang including Glenn and Abraham. Now, we get an early look at the original full scene that is included with The Walking Dead: Complete Seventh Season DVD set available on August 22.

One of the best things about DVD boxed sets are the special features, and if this deleted scene is any indication, there is a lot to look forward to.

In an exclusive clip given to Entertainment Weekly, we see Glenn playing with his son while Abraham sits in the background with Sasha, who is very pregnant. Rosita is there lighting tiki torches, and her presence suggests that everyone is getting along. Later we see Maggie giving Glenn a kiss. It’s a beautiful way to remember a future that will never be with characters that have moved on.

One of the more heartrending aspects of the scene is that it was a powerful scene in episode 701, but after the season finale we lost Sasha as well. Seeing her with Abraham, happy and pregnant, is a real heartbreaker. The loss of Sasha, Abraham and Glenn (and Spencer, who also makes an appearance) means that they will never be a part of Alexandria’s future, but their legacies will certainly continue. If nothing else, we can expect to see Baby Rhee in season 8, and Baby Rhee will be a constant reminder of his father’s legacy moving forward.
