Fear The Walking Dead’s Colman Domingo takes over Instagram

Colman Domingo plays Victor Strand on Fear The Walking Dead but he will be playing Instagram host on August 29.

We finally catch up with Victor Strand again in the mid-season finale of Fear The Walking Dead. He blew up his boat with the reflection of the flames flashing in the lenses of his sunglasses. But we are not quite sure of his exact geographic location.

We do, however, have a line on Colman Domingo’s location. Colman is in Las Vegas, NV ready to take over the Fear The Walking Dead Instagram account while visiting the new Fear The Walking Dead Survival attraction at Fremont Street.

I wonder if the attraction will feel as perilous as Strand’s journey thus far on Fear The Walking Dead. He’s faced quite a few obstacles but somehow found his way out:

  • First he meets Nick Clark in a holding cell in season 1. But he manages to buy his way out trading a fancy watch for a key to the cell. And let’s not forget that he eventually takes the watch back as well.
  • Madison Clark saves him from hypothermia and drowning in season 2 when the group has headed out to sea on his yacht, the Abigail. He then manages to escape the fires overtaking the compound in Mexico, fleeing with Madison and Alicia.
  • He is then stabbed by the mother of the bride at the hotel where the trio take refuge. The mother of the bride finally has a change of heart in season 3 and offers Strand the car she planned to give as a wedding gift.
  • The car seems like a win for Strand until he ends up at a dam where a disgruntled former business associate almost has him thrown off of a balcony. Strand is then imprisoned at the dam instead.
  • But Daniel Salazar seemingly rises from the ashes and maneuvers his way into a position of authority at the dam and ultimately rescues Strand. But how does Strand thank Daniel? Strand misleads Daniel telling him Ofelia is still back at the hotel. The pair take a drive to the hotel and Ofelia is nowhere to be found. Angry at Strand’s deception, Daniel leaves him surrounded by the dead.

Of course, Victor manages to escape and discovers the stolen yacht, which he eventually destroys.

Victor Strand has indeed faced several perilous situations in Fear The Walking Dead but has managed to survive them all. So, what’s next for Strand?

Maybe Colman Domingo will drop some clues during his Instagram takeover. Maybe not. Either way, Fear The Walking Dead returns on September 10 on AMC.
