8. Madison Will Lose Control Of Troy

Madison is playing a dangerous game. She is a master manipulator but even she won’t be able to control Troy for long. The fact that he came extremely close to murdering her when the group went after the missing posse proves that despite Troy’s fixation on her as a mother figure he’s still a threat. If Madison is overconfident about her ability to manipulate Troy into staying under her control it could end very badly for her.

Troy Otto is unstable at best. Facing pressure the other residents of the ranch and pressure from Jake along with the pressure of being manipulated by Madison he could completely lose control. It’s a foregone conclusion that at some people Troy will go off the rails. Madison thinks she knows how to contain Troy’s explosive and impulsive nature by appealing to his need for a mother figure. But her plan to try and channel his impulses and get them to work for her instead of against her could backfire.

Troy and Nick also seem to have a kind of connection based in their similar mindsets. If Troy sees Nick, Madison’s actual son, as a threat he could go after Nick. If that happens Madison will have to choose between saving her son and saving her plan for the ranch.
