Fear the Walking Dead: Ruthless, Fierce, Fighter
As we count down to the midseason premiere of Fear the Walking Dead, the Fear Instagram account gives profiles some of the characters.
Fear the Walking Dead really took off in season 3 and that’s why we’re especially excited for the midseason premiere on September 10. As we get ready for the big day, the official Fear the Walking Dead Instagram account profiles some of the show’s characters. The first three profiles feature the characters who fall into the Ruthless, Fierce and Fighter categories.
Ruthless, Caring, Killer
I’m not sure that Daniel Salazar is entirely ruthless, but if being ruthless keeps him alive, then ruthless he’ll be. Daniel does care for the people in his group, and he’s a capable killer.
Check, check and check.
Daniel Salazar is a chameleon who uses his experience in the El Salvadorean army to help him survive every situation he encounters. He was missing for the better part of season 3 and it wasn’t until he showed up that we even knew he was alive. (However, we knew he was alive because the showrunners were very clear that he was, and it was very nice of them to clue us in and not force us to wonder)
Fierce, Compassionate, Survivor
Ofelia has been missing ever since she abandoned the resort and struck out on her own. When she finally resurfaced she was in the company of Qaletaqa Walker. She has evolved a great deal and now has no problems doing what it takes to survive.
Ofelia genuinely cares about Walker and his people, which is why she’s willing to betray Madison and Nick by poisoning the militia members (including Nick, who manages to survive).
Like her father, Ofelia is a survivor. She may not have known how capable she really was but she has learned a lot since leaving the safety of her father’s barber shop at the beginning of the apocalypse. She’s strong and she’s fierce, and she will go a long way if she keeps with the right group moving forward. But which group will she follow?
Fighter, Feminine, Takes No Sh*t
Alicia might be one of the most popular characters on the show. She has shown the most growth, and her character has so much depth that you never know what to expect from her. Over the course of season 3A Alicia has learned how to protect herself.
Alicia’s relationship with Jake is an interesting one. It’s part strategy and part romance. Her relationship has allowed her to be the teenager that she is while building a partnership that might prove useful down the line.
Alicia has been able to spend some time with people her own age while at Brokejaw Ranch and since she has the most apocalypse experience of everyone there, she knows that she has the upper hand. Her relationship with Jake is helpful to bring her family close to the Otto Family, which is important now that Nick killed Otto patriarch Jeremiah.
