The Walking Dead actor Chandler Riggs teased season 8 by saying that there will be ‘lots of killing’ when the AMC show returns on October 22, 2017.

Death is something that happens regularly on AMC’s The Walking Dead. Whether it is a major character, an unknown survivor, or zombies, there is always plenty of bloodshed waiting for fans of the series.

With season 8 set to premiere on October 22, 2017, fans are excited as ever to find out what is next for their favorite survivors. One cast member who is particularly excited is Chandler Riggs, known for his role of Carl Grimes.

Recently Riggs spoke with Triple J about the upcoming season, revealing some good and bad things. The good news is that he still loves doing the show and enjoys his character’s evolution.

"“I still love it. I still have so much fun doing it. Especially in the last few seasons, getting to do more and more with my character and interactions with the other characters. It’s been really, really awesome.”"

The bad news is that war is on the horizon. Last season set up an epic battle between The Saviors and the surrounding communities for control of resources as well as their own personal freedom from Negan and his men.

Sadly, that means fans could be losing some characters they really enjoy. And, according to Chandler, there is going to be plenty of death to go around.

"“Season 7 was all about building up and getting everyone ready to fight against Negan, and this season there’s going to be lots of explosions, lots of killing, a lot more Negan. Yeah, lots of fighting, lots of cool stuff. It’s really, really fun this season.”"

Fans of action on the hit AMC drama appear to be in for a treat in season 8, with killing, explosions, and more on the way. This pace will be different from the somber and methodical pace of season 7, were fans had to watch their favorite survivors repeatedly get beaten down.
