Jon Bernthal of The Walking Dead joins cast for Netflix musical The Eddy

Fans who loved seeing Jon Bernthal as Shane on The Walking Dead will get to see a different side of the actor in the Netflix musical series The Eddy.
There is something remarkable about Jon Bernthal’s performance as Shane Walsh on AMC’s The Walking Dead. Bringing to life a character that can be both loved and hated at the same time is a challenge, and one that the actor succeeded at accomplishing.
Since then, he has moved on to be in several movies and shows, including The Punisher on the Netflix series Daredevil and films such as Baby Driver and Sicario. But now you’ll be able to see him in a completely different role.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix has picked up an 8-part musical series by Damien Chazelle, who is best known for his recent success with the film La La Land and the hit film Whiplash. The project is titled The Eddy and will follow the story of a Paris club trying to survive.

The cast for the show looks amazing. So far, Variety is reporting that Jon Bernthal will join Ryan Gosling, Kyle Chandler, Corey Stoll and Jason Clarke on the project with music from six-time Grammy winner Glen Ballard, who has song credits on albums such as Michael Jackson’s ‘Bad’ and Alanis Morissette’s ‘Jagged Little Pill’ among other popular artists.
Netflix vice president of international originals Erik Barmack showed nothing but excitement for the upcoming musical series:
