Seth Gilliam to do Live Youtube Podcast with BEAZTmodeNY
By Nir Regev
Seth Gilliam, who plays Father Gabriel on The Walking Dead, will do a Live Youtube Podcast with BEAZTmodeNY this Wednesday at 8:00pm ET!
Actor Seth Gilliam, will join the B.E.A.Z.T. Mode NY duo for an exclusive Live Youtube Podcast this Wednesday. Last week, the team live interviewed actress Sabrina Gennarino, Tamiel on the show. It’s only natural they’d followup with a member of Rick’s side! We need to get the whole story, the full picture. Seth Gilliam will have plenty to talk about from Father Gabriel’s experience being abducted by the Scavengers to earning lost trust back from both character and audience alike.
It was in Alexandria’s onset that Father Gabriel seemingly betrayed the group in an overheard conversation with Deanna. Only to later regain that trust from Rick Grimes as Alexandria was about to fall… In some ways, as Gabriel had ominously promised.
It’ll be fascinating to get Gilliam’s take on playing such a multi-layered character, one whose path is directed by the idea that change is always possible. That past actions don’t necessarily always dictate future ones and opinions, even harsh ones can be fluid.

Seth Gilliam is a long time veteran of the industry, previously involved in big pictures like Julianne Moore’s Oscar winning Still Alice, sci-fi classic Starship Troopers, and a series regular on Teen Wolf, The Wire, Oz, and Law and Order.
Ryan Gallagher, BEAZTmodeNY’s 24 year-old paranormal investigator will certainly have lots of material to cross examine and discuss, thanks to Gilliam’s impressive resume of work spanning multiple genres.

Meanwhile, BEAZTmodeNY’s Christopher Valerius whose love of apocalypse theories drives his passion for The Walking Dead is in for a treat.
Not only does Seth Gilliam play an initially relatively defenseless character against the hordes of undead but he isolates himself. How does one go about proving not just from a story angle but fan perspective that Gabriel can be trusted again?
When at the drop of a hat, any move perceived as even potential betrayal will lead them to turn with double the ease. It’s a constant murky climb uphill, pushing a rock up that’s begging to use its gravity back.
A throughly complicated individual on The Walking Dead, a man who in a life before the apocalypse had others come to him to earn his loyalty, trust, and words of guidance… Now have the tables turned.

We’re looking forward to what BEAZTmodeNY’s (Big East Alliance Zombie Team) asks of Seth Gilliam regarding both this past season and the next, and the utter complexity of playing Father Gabriel on The Walking Dead. A role that cannot be understated, its challenge immense in scope.
