MVP from Fear the Walking Dead episode 310: ‘The Diviner’
By Adam Carlson
Determining an MVP from season 3 episode 10 of Fear The Walking Dead was not an easy task, but a decision had to be made from ‘The Diviner’.
While the midseason premiere of Fear The Walking Dead was a fast-moving and powerful episode that featured some fantastic performances that set conflict moving forward at the ranch, the next episode of the series failed to really grab any attention.
Madison and Walker left the ranch in search of water to trade for, ending up at a bazaar where they stumbled across Victor Strand, who (to nobody’s surprise) was in debt and in trouble with the people there.
There were some scenes back at the ranch, but much of the focus was on the reunion between Madison and Strand. However, the real MVP of the episode was neither of those characters.
The MVP for Fear The Walking Dead episode 310 is Qaletqa Walker!
Sadly, this was a very weak episode for nearly every character, but Walker was the strongest of any of them.

The greatest moment was when Walker reached out to Madison to explain to her that he understands how he feels when there is squabbling among the people and how leadership roles are established. However, he was met with hostility and sarcasm from Madison.
Again, Walker did what was best for the people by bringing currency to trade for water for his people. However, that was stolen by Madison to buy the life of Victor Strand, who was serving out his time on the wall battling zombies.
Finally, the leader of the Black Hat earns this award because he wasn’t foolish. Madison and Strand cuddling and not talking about Daniel or Ofelia was absurd, and Strand saying that they can’t go to the dam because he isn’t welcome there makes no sense because they never offered to take him there in the first place!

The only consistent and focused character in this episode of Fear The Walking Dead was Qaletqa Walker, who should have earned some respect from everyone for how he dealt with these situations and his patience with Madison, her family, and the people of the Broke Jaw Ranch during ‘The Diviner’.
