Maggie Is A Fighter

Maggie, who still doesn’t look pregnant, assures Rick, Ezekiel and Jesus that she is in the fight.

At least, for now.

She has it on good authority that she can fight into her second trimester, and given how long she has been fighting, she isn’t going to stop now. Not yet, anyway.

Rick reveals that he’s thinking the battle might come soon. Possibly as in “tomorrow” soon, and she is slightly taken aback that he’s thinking about it already, but he says he can’t let it go too long. She assures him that she has been fighting ever since the farm, and she won’t stop now. She’ll fight as long as she is able. “Just one more fight. And I’m going to be there. At least for the first part,” she says.

It’s awesome to see Maggie standing with the other leaders – Rick and Ezekiel – and even though she’s pregnant, she has no problem holding her own. She has come so far and now that she’s going to have a baby, protecting her new home is as important as ever.

One important note is that during the preview special, showrunner Scott M. Gimple was asked whether or not we will see Baby Rhee in season 8 and his response was a resounding “No.” Though he joked that anything was possible, he was also very clear that Baby Rhee is not due to arrive yet.
