Fear the Walking Dead: Madison makes more mistakes

Fear the Walking Dead has returned for the second half of season 3 and Madison Clark has already made a few key mistakes. Buy hey, what else is new?

Oh Madison. Every time I think she’s making big strides in her development as a character she does something that makes me shake my head. In the two hour mid-season premiere of Fear the Walking Dead there were a few head-shakeable moments, but two of them are pretty darn bad.

Madison is nothing if not impulsive. Now that we know more about her past, it’s easier to understand why she tends to gravitate toward knee-jerk reactions. However, she needs to slow down and stop making decisions without thinking about their implications.

Despite her master plan of making Broke Jaw Ranch a home for herself and her kids, you can already see the plan falling apart. Alicia is supporting Jake and has warned her mother not to undermine him. Nick is once again doing his own thing; sometimes that’s helping his family and other times it’s fueling his own desires. Neither one of the Clark kids seems to be 100% on board with their mother’s plans and that’s largely due to their own doubts that their mom can make the right decisions.
