There was no question that as soon as Madison saw Strand she would do whatever it takes to release him. But instead of keeping her cool, Madison grabs a shovel and starts whacking people. She doesn’t even know these people or what Strand has done.

This feels oddly familiar, doesn’t it? It’s like when she rushed into the office at the market because she overheard the men talking about Nick.

If Madison wanted to rescue Strand, it would have been wise to find out what he was being charged with before jumping to his rescue and potentially risking all of their lives. Fortunately, Walker was there to broker a deal with the people who run the place.

Madison should know better than to rush into situations without knowing the rules of the game. She shows up with a bunch of gold and a functional water truck, so people are bound to wonder where she comes from. Now that she has a shelter that is worth fighting for, she has to consider the consequences of her actions.
