#2. What will be done about the water shortage?

Earlier in the season, it was hinted at that the community needed to conserve the most valuable resource they have on the Broke Jaw Ranch: water. When a house was on fire, Jeremiah told the people to stop putting out the flames to conserve water.

It turns out that the water situation was more serious than initially thought. Jeremiah was keeping track of the levels and even had a countdown of estimated days remaining until their source was dry.

Both Walker and Madison agreed that the situation needed a solution. For a temporary solution, the two headed out with a truck to trade some silver coins for enough water to help them until they found a better course of action.

In the meantime, rationing was put in place on the ranch, but that didn’t go over well. People were double dipping in the well or requesting more water for their crops or cattle that couldn’t be spared in the meantime.
