Fear the Walking Dead 311: 5 questions we have
After the thrilling two hour mid-season premiere of Fear the Walking Dead, we have a lot of questions ahead of episode 311, “La Serpiente.”
These two hour premiere pack a lot of punch, don’t they? Fear the Walking Dead certainly packed in a ton of action through two hours, and that means we have a lot of questions for the next episode, 311’s “La Serpiente.”
Have We Seen The Last Of Troy Otto?
Troy Otto has left Broke Jaw Ranch, but is he gone for good? That’s my question. I find it hard to believe that we’ve seen the last of Troy. More importantly, though, I also find it hard to believe that anyone could be naive enough to think that “exiling” a natural-born survivalist will work. Troy will make it back to the Ranch if he so chooses. Then again, he might start his own group to take the Ranch back himself. We still don’t know how he really feels about Nick killing his father, but we do know that he is not happy that Walker’s people are sharing his father’s ranch.
Why Didn’t Strand Mention Daniel Salazar?
Strand is a chameleon and he is always thinking three steps ahead of everyone else. That’s why his mother named him Victor, right?
It was obvious that he was hedging his bets a bit when Madison showed up. He didn’t tell her about Daniel and he didn’t explain that it was Daniel who left him for dead.
Whatever Victor’s reasoning for not telling the whole story to Madison, the whole story is going to come out when Madison shows up at the dam. But what will happen when Strand and Daniel come face to face again?
What Will Happen When Daniel Sees Madison?
The only person who knows Daniel Salazar is alive is Strand, who didn’t share that tidbit with Madison just yet. Strand doesn’t know that Ofelia is alive, and he also doesn’t know that Ofelia has sided with Walker in the conflict back at the Ranch.
So what happens when Madison and Walker show up with Strand at the dam? That will be a lot for Daniel to take in. Daniel, as we know, is still holding out hope of finding Ofelia, but will his good judgement hold out when he finds out Ofelia is still alive?
Wasn’t Luciana Heading to Mexicali?
Luciana would seem to be the Ofelia of 3B. We haven’t seen her since she left Broke Jaw Ranch in the dead of night, but we know she was hoping to go and meet up with her friends. Those friends just might be in Mexicali, and that means she might find out what has been happening back at the Ranch. Will she ever return to the Ranch or is she on a new journey?
Can There Be Peace At The Ranch?
Things don’t look good for the Ranch in Madison and Walker’s absence. Things are breaking down rapidly and unless a new source of water shows up, things will continue to fall apart.
One sign that things could be looking up is the scene at the end of “The Diviners” when Nick and the makeshift militia join Alicia and the Black Hat group as they dig for water. Even Luciana joined in. This could be a turning point for the Ranch. But is this moment of goodwill enough to bury past grudges and move forward as a community?
