Eventually, the zombie apocalypse will get to a point where farms fall and the creatures there die. That also means people will struggle much more to get the food they need, and as sources of food fall, humans will struggle to eat.
Farmers rotate crops to keep the land fertile, but that also means that the most efficient crops won’t always be planted. Eugene knows that gardening is a science and wanted the sorghum from the truck that ended up at the bottom of the lake, but they never went back to get the supplies after trying to lose Jesus.
There’s always been a part of me that has wondered why people aren’t trying to eat walker meat, although it would be disgusting. A freshly turned walker could be good eating since as stated with the previous question, it is unknown what effect the meat would have on a human body.
When the food is gone, people will be gone. It’s simple as that. Water will be the most important thing, but I’m waiting to see what happens when a group is desperate enough to eat anything just to see what will happen.
