Who died in Fear The Walking Dead episode 311 ‘La Serpiente’?
By Sonya Iryna
This week’s new episode of Fear The Walking Dead continued the dramatic theme and had a highly anticipated reunion. But there weren’t really any significant deaths.
There weren’t even very many walker deaths in this episode of Fear The Walking Dead. Strand was able to distract a herd of walkers on the road with a beeping fob so that Walker could drive the truck through without them having to kill the herd.
But there was one pretty spectacularly gross walker kill when Madison, Strand, and Walker were crawling through the tunnels near the dam in an attempt to take the back way in.
At the end of the tunnel leading to the dam, they come across a bloated walker blocking the entire small tunnel. The walker looked similar to the infamous Well Walker in season 2 of The Walking Dead.
Madison, showing once again that she is the person in the group that is going to do whatever it takes to get the job done, killed the walker with Walker’s hatchet. Then she methodically cut off its head and dismembered it, pulling the pieces out of the tunnel so that they could get through.

Walkers Are Already An Afterthought
In The Walking Dead it took a couple seasons before the survivors really looked at the walkers as an annoyance. During the first couple of seasons, they looked at the walkers as a very serious threat. But it seems like the survivors in Fear The Walking Dead already are at that point.
Walkers are seen as a minor threat and aren’t really treated as a huge problem. They’ve already learned to herd the walkers with sound or light and have become savvy at avoiding them whenever possible. The survivors in Fear The Walking Dead are a lot more concerned with the threat that people represent instead of the threat that the walkers represent.

The threat from people will continue to be a larger threat than the threat of walkers on Fear The Walking Dead when Madison, Strand and Walker get back to the ranch. Now that the water crisis has been solved they are going to have to deal with the huge conflicts between the ranchers and The Nation.
