Fear The Walking Dead, The Diviner: Things To Note
By Liam O'Leary
IT’S THAT TIME AGAIN!! The second half of Fear The Walking Dead has now begun, and, with it, a brand new set of THINGS TO NOTE!!
The second half of Season Three of Fear The Walking Dead has started the same way the first half ended: With a double-episode. While this made for a long Monday for me, it was, nonetheless, an enjoyable one.
As we delved deeper in the the second half of this season, Madison realized that Broke Jaw and Black Hat’s situation is far more dire than she’d first thought. She explains to Jake, Qaletaqa, Nick and Alicia that they have six and a half weeks worth of water. With this knowledge, she and Qaletaqa set out for Mexicali, Mexico, in the search for a new supply of water.
Meanwhile, the remnants of Broke Jaw’s militia now look to Nick for leadership, thinking he held out and fought Qaletaqa’s soldier’s alongside Troy. Nick attempts to discourage them from acting rashly, but, as tensions mount, the circumstances force Nick to take steps to stand up to Crazy Dog, who leads Black Hat in Qaletaqa’s absence.
Alicia, meanwhile, is desperately trying to hold things together as distrust festers, and members of Broke Jaw dump their complaints on Jake, who’s been weakened by helping those infected with Anthrax in “The Unveiling”.
Of course, in the midst of all of this, there were little hints, clues, callbacks, and references dotted throughout the episode that, with the craziness going on, it’d be easy to miss.
So, let’s stop and take a minute to go back over all these tidbits. Are you ready? It’s time for a second installment of THINGS TO NOTE!
