What can we expect in Fear the Walking Dead 312, “Brother’s Keeper?” We have a few questions to get you thinking about it.

Fear the Walking Dead returns with “Brother’s Keeper.” With a title like that you can only imagine that the episode will revolve around wayward brothers Nick and Troy. Alicia and Jake, respectively, have always had their hands full with their siblings. From the look of things, not even the zombie apocalypse is going to change that. Here are five questions we have ahead of Fear the Walking Dead 312.

Is There Water In Them Hills?

When last we saw Broke Jaw Ranch, a group of Walker’s people were digging a well because their diivining rods indicated the presence of water. Alicia had joined them to help with the digging, hoping to avoid a complete breakdown at the Ranch, and eventually Ofelia and Nick brought their groups over to help.

Did it work?

Did they really find water deep in the ground?

The presence of water would certainly go a long way in not only preserving the peace at the Ranch, but it would also allow for a great deal of autonomy at the Ranch. They wouldn’t need to rely upon Lola and the dam, which would be a great asset for their long-term planning.

If there was no water, then it’s quite possible that things will have started to fall apart by the time Madison and Walker return.

What Has Been Happening At The Ranch?

With water in hand, newfound friends Madison, Walker and Strand are heading back to Broke Jaw Ranch, but what will they find when they get there? Things were pretty tense already when Madison and Walker left, and they got worse before they got better. So how are things going now?

Alicia has really stepped up at the Ranch, backing Jake and making sure that Nick doesn’t louse things up with the rest of the disgruntled ranchers who look at him like a hero for being in the shootout with Troy. Nick enjoyed that notoriety, so will he work to stay in their good graces or will he try to sway them toward a peaceful relationship with Walker’s people?

What Will They Tell Ofelia About Her Father?

Now that Daniel knows Ofelia is safe, he doesn’t seem as concerned about reuniting with her even though he’s not thrilled that she has become a fierce killer and hero, according to Walker. It looks like Daniel will eventually reunite with her, but not until he knows he has kept his promise to Lola.

But what if Ofelia learns her father is alive? Will she return to him, even if it’s just to see him with her own eyes?

My guess is that Walker won’t want to lose Ofelia, but Madison might tell Ofelia the truth just to get her away from the Ranch and away from Nick.

Can Lola Keep Control?

We probably won’t see much of Lola this week, but you know that Madison is already looking ahead. Lola isn’t going to be able to keep control of the dam at this rate and there could be an opportunity there if she plays her cards right. Lola made her an offer to stay there, so if things go sideways at the Ranch, Madison has a place to go with her family.

Is Troy Back?

No one should be surprised upon seeing Troy again. You can’t drop a natural born survivalist off in the middle of nowhere and not expect to see him again. He knows that terrain better than anyone else, so he will find his way home.

The million dollar question is what happens when Troy returns. Things are tense enough, but knowing that Nick killed his father will complicate things. And the complication will come when Jake finds out the truth. Will Jake be able to deal with that knowledge along with the knowledge that Alicia knew the truth almost the entire time?

Things are getting intense on Fear the Walking Dead. Tune in Sunday for “Brother’s Keeper” at 9pm on AMC.
