1) The episode begins with Troy killing and eating a snake. He’s the first character we’ve seen do that in either Walking Dead series since Daryl did it in The Walking Dead Season Four episode, “Still”.

2) While Troy is cooking and eating his snake, he marks things down in his journal. We haven’t seen Troy using his journal since Nick ripped it up in the first half of the season in “TEOTWAWKI”.

3) Troy returning to the outpost to look at Phil McCarthy’s corpse is the first time we’ve seen the deceased “Founding Father” since his death in “Burning In Water, Drowning In Flame”.

4) It seems like the siren sound effect may be gone again. Easy come, easy go.

5) Nick putting down the cow is the first time we’ve seen an animal killed out of mercy in Fear The Walking Dead.

6) Jake mentions Vernon as he discusses with Alicia the idea of leaving. That’s the second “Founding Father” seen or mentioned in this episode, followed closely by Jake mentioning his dad, which makes three.

7) Speaking of which, Jake also says that, if his dad knew they’d end up killing the cattle he’d kill himself. Well, if Jake’s trying to be funny, he succeeded, though, maybe not how he intended.

8) Additionally, Jake refers to his dad by his last name, just as Troy did near the beginning of the midseason premiere, “Minotaur”. While it makes sense Troy would (Considering his relationship with Jeremiah), Jake calling his dad by his last name is much more confusing.
