9) It’s strange that Nick would be more moral (Regretting both killing Jeremiah and then living in his house, feeling like he owes Troy for killing his father and for Troy saving him, etc.) than Alicia. Up to this point, Alicia has been something of a moral compass for the group, yet, when talking to Nick, she tries to discourage Nick from, essentially, listening to his conscience.

10) Nick seems to take pause after Jake all but says he’s going to put Troy down because of his instability. Clearly, Nick was thinking about his own comparison between himself and Troy during the above discussion with Alicia. Furthermore, that pause (And the comparison) seems to be another reference to Nick’s fear of being crazy, something he’s struggled with since the pilot.

11) Incidentally, is Jake implying that Troy was the one who staked and skinned the rabbits in his story? It certainly seems like that’s the implication.

12) While in the TV version, I imagine it was cut, if you got this episode via iTunes (Like I did), Nick clearly says “Fuck.” upon seeing the massive horde.

13) Speaking of that, while it might seem relatively minor, Nick refers to the mass gathering of infected as a “horde“. Not only is he the first to christen a large group of infected in the show, but, his name is also in contrast to the name of such a gathering in The Walking Dead, a herd.

14) Additionally, calling a large group of infected a “horde” is the seventh name or term for the infected in the show, and the first new one this season.
