Maggie

Of all the characters on The Walking Dead Maggie has probably suffered the most loss. She lost her home, when the farm fell to the walkers. She lost Hershel. And then she lost Beth. Glenn was missing for a time after The Governor attacked the prison. But then just when finally it seemed like she and Glenn would have a moment of happiness she lost Glenn too.

But Maggie has never let any of those losses beat her down. Even after watching Glenn’s brutal death she was the first one to say that the group needed to fight Negan. She has never backed down from a challenge. And now she has beautifully and gracefully made her life about being a legacy for Glenn and Hershel.

Maggie is now the de facto leader at The Hilltop, where she is using the skills she learned as a farmer’s daughter and what she learned from Deanna about civic planning to get The Hilltop to thrive. She also has taught them to fight, along with Jesus and Enid, and Sasha. She’s determined to make The Hilltop a safe and peaceful place where she can raise Baby Rhee and stay close to Glenn’s burial site.

With Jesus to back her up Maggie will be a fantastic leader for The Hilltop and she will probably take a leadership role in the community alliance as well. When asked what she wanted for Maggie in the next 100 episodes Lauren Cohan said:

"“It would also be great if she could have a really healthy kid and find a beautiful life. I really want her to have a healthy kid, to make some more friends, and to find some peace. And you know, as always, good weather.” Next: Michonne"
