Daryl

Daryl has also had a transformative journey throughout The Walking Dead’s first 7 seasons. From an angry, impulsive, loner he’s transformed into a leader and a fighter who really tries to do what’s right. That’s a far cry from the surly redneck who was just waiting to rob the group with his brother originally. Even though Daryl’s character has been underutilized for the last couple of seasons his remarkable journey has made him a fan favorite.

Caryl shippers want to see him and Carol finally get together, and this may be the season that it happens. But then again, Daryl is still reeling from the guilt of thinking that his impulsive swing at Negan got Glenn killed. Maggie absolved him of guilt but he clearly still thinks it was his fault. And Carol is still not sure she can be around any of the original group.

But they will be united in their efforts to destroy Negan and The Saviors in season 8. After that, the future is wide open. But Norman Reedus was pretty clear that Daryl would really like a puppy. He said:

"“I want a puppy. Give me a damn puppy already! That would be good. I’d also like more scenes blowing up stuff with bazookas. Those are always fun. Certain characters are really connecting, and you know, those are my favorite scenes to do, so more of those, please. I like the fighting scenes. So less tears, more puppy.”"

He wants to connect with certain characters? Like Carol maybe? Carol and Daryl together with a puppy? Sounds great. Are you listening Scott Gimple?
