Robert Kirkman dropped a bombshell on the crowd at New York Comic Con by announcing that The Walking Dead will tie-in with Fear The Walking Dead!

Ever since Fear The Walking Dead was announced as the companion series for AMC’s flagship zombie drama series, fans have been wondering if there would ever an overlapping between the two programs.

Since they are both set in the same universe in different parts of North America, there always was a chance that there could be a tie-in. However, the executive producers have always said there is no plan to blend the two shows or crossover.

That situation changed at New York Comic Con when Robert Kirkman took the stage to talk about the two shows and dropped a bombshell on the crowd in attendance. Here is that announcement according to the official Twitter account of The Walking Dead:

While it doesn’t appear to be a full-fledged crossover and it may not be a character that sticks around for a significant amount of time, this is still huge news for fans of the two AMC zombie drama shows.

There is a chance that it may be a character from Fear The Walking Dead showing up on The Walking Dead or the other way around. Either way, this will be a fan’s dream if they have been keeping up on both shows.

But will it be a fan favorite or a little-known character and what will their role be when they appear on the other show? And can a minor character on one program become a major character on another?

The possibilities are endless when it comes to what this means for the two AMC zombie dramas. With so many characters and situations available, it opens the door for so much to happen and surprise fans when it does happen.
