Fear the Walking Dead heads into a two-hour season finale starting with “Things Bad Begun.” Here’s the synopsis of episode 315.

Madison is making her way back to the dam hoping that Daniel’s invitation is enough to grant her family and friends shelter. She still thinks the dam is safe, but safety is an illusion these days. Add to that a scheming Victor Strand and things aren’t looking good.

Here’s the official synopsis of Fear the Walking Dead “Things Bad Begun” from AMC:

“Strand’s motives are made clear when Nick discovers a new threat descending on the dam; Madison faces a horrifying revelation.”

What stands out from the AMC synopsis is “Strand’s motives.” What are Strand’s motives? Can you ever trust the con man, or does he have a master plan that he’s not sharing. You can understand his reluctance to share plans with anyone given that he can’t trust Daniel Salazar or Walker, and he also knows that Madison isn’t the best person to give confidential information to given her propensity for making rash decisions. Whatever his motives, there’s no question that Strand is up to something only time will tell what happens.

The flip side of this is that Nick, who remained at the bazaar with Troy, learns that the dam isn’t as safe as his mother thinks it is. Nick knew it would be a good idea to stick around at the bazaar, and it’s this kind of inside information that will prove useful to the group. In this case, it might give the people of the dam a much needed warning before the real trouble arrives.
