Fear the Walking Dead S3 Finale Preview: ‘Things Bad Begun/Sleigh Ride’
By Nir Regev
Will Nick Clark regress back to the dark depths of drug abuse and bring unlikely pal Troy with him on Fear the Walking Dead?
Madison’s dream, her ranch oasis in the desert, has been revealed to be nothing more than a mirage. Broken and lost. Where does Madison Clark go from here? A water deal she no longer needs, a daughter who’s left her, a son who’s fallen back to his old habits. All Madison’s got left is the good-will of acquaintances like Daniel. Now that Ofelia is gone, never to return, how long will the pact hold?
The single most powerful bargaining chip has turned into as Daniel called it ‘a bad joke’.Sure, Daniel has faith in Madison as a good honest person but Strand? Walker? Who made his daughter do the unspeakable from Daniel’s viewpoint?
Not to mention the constant ebb and flow of the power of the water dam. Which side will the water queen be swayed to take? Will Daniel have to take matters into his own hands? He also seems to have a rare soft side for Lola, a relationship in the brewing perhaps…
Nick’s Destruction of the Otto Family and his own
In unspoken irony, Nick Clark is becoming the bane of the Otto family. When he met them, they were whole, dysfunctional, yes but whole. Now Nick has shot and killed Jeremiah Otto, inadvertently led to the death of Jake, and is slowly spiraling Troy to the recreational ‘medicine’ abyss he once escaped.
The debt of Travis’ death, which was never truly the Otto’s fault anyway, has been repaid and then some. After all this time, it’s Nick that’s acting as the self-destructive force that’s driving a wedge in both his family and the Otto’s family.
If Jake doesn’t pass, likely Alicia stays. If he hadn’t covered for Troy continuously, the horde never reaches the ranch. Jeremiah Otto? His death was never what anyone on the ranch wanted.
Fear the Walking Dead: S03E15 Preview Trailer
Troy continues to appear like the responsible one in the trailer. Trying to convince Nick to help his mother, rather than drown in a drug-filled bender. The water queen has to make a big decision regard the dam, release it to everyone or maintain power. We all know which side Daniel will be on.

If Lola goes against Daniel’s wishes, will he relent or take control of the dam himself? Without Ofelia, there is nothing objectively stopping him from being his most ruthless. Not a care in the world.
Meanwhile, Alicia continues scavenging the wastelands with the stranger she shared potatoes with last episode. Can she be trusted? Diana did mention she doesn’t like keeping friends because of the emotional aspects of losing them…
Alicia might be too trusting but her options in the wasteland are severely limited without her pack. She sent Nick and Troy away, divided the family again and has chosen this potentially weakened path for herself.
Proctor John Sighting?
Who is the mysterious figure in the trailer, that says “Do you know who I am?” and does it have anything to do with Strand requesting to see Proctor John?
We find out tonight on a special two-parter season 3 finale of Fear the Walking Dead on AMC at 9 p.m. Easter/ 8 Central!
