1) For those who may not have noticed it happen, Alicia’s bite occurred when the infected lodged in the fan fell on top of her in the previous episode, “This Land Is Your Land”.

2) Once again, no siren sound effect. Man, Luciana’s been seen more time than it this season. I’m not even kidding — By my count, it’s been used, at best, twice. Luciana had been in at least four episodes this season.

3) Where is Luciana, by the way?

4) It’s funny that Madison should tell Strand they rely on the kindness of strangers as they discuss keeping Ofelia around, considering she’s with them because of her parents’ kindness in letting Travis, Liza, and Chris ride out the riots in L.A. in the very second episode of the series.

5) Strand telling Madison “Our better angels are dead.” is quite ironic, as “Better Angels” was the name of a Season Two episode of The Walking Dead. That episode famously featured Shane’s death and zombification after attempting to kill Rick.

6) As they argue about the deal with Daniel imploding when Ofelia inevitably dies, Strand calls Daniel a “butcher”. While not the source of the episode’s name, it is an ironic thing to say, considering that the word matadero means “slaughterhouse” in Spanish.
