7) When telling Troy why he stayed at the ranch, Nick specifically mentions Travis’s death. This is the first we’ve heard Travis mentioned (Sort of) since Madison told (Without telling) Strand of his death in “The Diviner”.

8) Troy tells Nick they’re more alike than Nick knows or is willing to admit. This is yet another reference to Nick’s fear of being crazy hinted at during his conversation with Jake about Troy in “Brother’s Keeper”.

9) The On-The-Go-Burger is the first place we’ve seen with evidence of its abandonment on the day of the outbreak since Alicia, Madison, Ofelia, and Strand arrived at The Rosarito in Season Two’s “Do Not Disturb”.

10) Alicia’s ballpit buddy is the first infected kid we’ve seen this season. Frankly, Fear seems to have far more zombie kids than its counterpart.

11) Nick taking Ofelia’s painkillers is the first sign of his addiction since stealing painkillers (Morphine?) from Hector Ramirez way back in Season One’s “Not Fade Away”.

12) This episode gets its name from the portion of El Bazar which, apparently sells, among other things, drugs: El Matadero.
