Robert Kirkman was asked at the Walking Dead press conference if his Amazon deal meant he’s ‘had his fill’ more or less of the show. If he was looking to startup new projects, hence the deal. Needless to say, going be Kirkman’s answer we have nothing to worry about! The creator is here to stay,

Robert Kirkman on the The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead’s future:

Robert Kirkman: That [Amazon] deal doesn’t preclude me from working on The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead as well. I definitely wouldn’t say I’ve had my fill. I’m very much looking forward to The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead for at least 30 or 40 seasons each. But for now, yeah any new projects I do will end up over there [Amazon].

Greg Nicotero: I’ll be 74 if we go to season 30.

Robert Kirkman: I can’t wait. It’s going to be great. Hey, directors work well into their 80s Greg.

Greg Nicotero: Oh, alright. *smiles*”

It’s really great to hear that Robert Kirkman aspires for the two Walking Dead shows to span decades. Sure, things are unpredictable on television but we know the creator has the will and wants to see the show through. Original creations are never the same without their true creator, only they know the true vision. The real image of what they want the universe to take shape as.
