Season 8 of AMC’s The Walking Dead is finally here. All Out War kicked off and fans had mixed reactions on social media for the season 8 premiere.

The Walking Dead is back for season 8 and the war against Negan and The Saviors has begun. In the season 8 premiere episode of the popular AMC zombie survival drama series, Rick Grimes, Maggie, King Ezekiel and the survivors finally hit back at Negan.

The survivors from Alexandria, The Hilltop, and The Kingdom took the fight directly to Negan and The Saviors at The Sanctuary with a coordinated attack on The Sanctuary. But fans had mixed reactions to the season premiere on social media channels.

Some fans thought that after the huge buildup that the season premiere got from AMC the episode was a little disappointing. Other fans were excited to see their favorite characters ready for war and ready to attack The Sanctuary.

There were a lot of callbacks to episode 1 of The Walking Dead in celebration of the 100th episode. And there were some flash forwards too. Some fans thought there was just too much going on in the first episode. While others were confused by the way that the episode jumped around. But some stalwart fans though the episode was the perfect mix of showing the buildup to the attack and the attack itself.
