MVP from The Walking Dead episode 801 ‘Mercy’

One character stood out during the season 8 premiere of AMC’s The Walking Dead. Here is the MVP from episode 801 titled ‘Mercy’ on October 22, 2017.
Fans waited a long time for the season 8 premiere of The Walking Dead and when the episode titled ‘Mercy’ finally aired on AMC, many viewers were glued to their television sets to find out what would happen.
One of the biggest parts of episode 801 was the start of All-Out War. Alexandria, The Hilltop, and The Kingdom banded together against Negan and the people of The Sanctuary in the first battle of season 8.
However, one character went above and beyond the call of duty in ‘Mercy’ and was named our most valuable person from the episode.
THE MVP FROM THE WALKING DEAD 801 IS MAGGIE!
While much of the episode focused on Rick Grimes, his fantasy sequences, and preparing for war, his adventure takes a backseat to the events that happened involving Maggie during the season 8 premiere.

Of course, the biggest moment for Maggie was when Gregory revealed himself to have sided with The Saviors and demanded everyone from The Hilltop work with the people of The Sanctuary or leave the community.
While Maggie’s leadership role in the community was assumed, it was verified when those commanded by Gregory to switch sides in the war said they stood with Maggie and would fight alongside her.
But that’s not all. Maggie also was the giver of a highly empowering speech that got everyone excited while also receiving a great pep talk from Rick Grimes about how she will be the one he will look up to in the future.
