Michael Rooker has officially been announced as a special guest at Tokyo Comic Con from Friday, December 1 through Sunday, December 3.

Attention, Walking Dead and Guardians of the Galaxy fans in Japan… Michael Rooker is coming to Tokyo Comic Con! Rooker who played Merle Dixon in The Walking Dead and Yondu Udonta in Guardians of the Galaxy will be packing the Makuhari Messe, International Exhibition Halls with ease. Be sure to line up early if you reside or happen to live in Tokyo on December 1 through December 3.

Fun Facts: Michael Rooker is said to be an avid fan of the Japanese martial art of Aikido. He also owns a Mameshiba dog which he purchased in Japan two years ago.

Tokyo Comic Con: Venue and Hours

Tokyo Comic Con will be located at Makuhari Messe, International Exhibition Hall 9, 10, and 11 (2-1, Nakase, Mihama-ku, Chiba-city, 261-0023 Japan). Hours are 12:00 – 19:00 JST on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, December 3, Tokyo Comic Con hours are 10:00 – 18:00 JST.

Ticket prices for Photo Ops and autographs have not been posted on the Tokyo Comic Con website yet for good ole Merle Dixon but we’ll be watching for updates. Advance admission tickets to the event have been posted however at this link.

They cost ¥ 3,200 yen on any of the three days, equivalent to about $28.04 USD dollars at the current exchange rates.

If you’re a high school/junior student tickets cost ¥ 2,200 yen on any of the three days, equivalent to about $19.28 USD dollars.

The Advance Admission ticket period ends on November 30 at 10:00 JST. After that if you’d like to purchase a ticket at the door, it will cost only slightly higher at ¥ 3,500 [$30.67 USD]. If you’re a high school/junior student, a ticket at the door will cost ¥ 2,500 [$21.91 USD}. Youngsters attending elementary school and below have free admission to Tokyo Comic Con.
