There’s a good chance that we will see if Jesus was right about Maggie. Here is one prediction for this week’s episode of The Walking Dead, “Monsters.”

In The Walking Dead episode 802, “The Damned,” Jesus and Tara got into an argument about whether or not Maggie and Rick would agree with them. With a moral dilemma hanging over their heads in the middle of a battle, it looks like we might get an answer to how Maggie feels about killing people in episode 803, “Monsters.”

When Jesus wanted to save the life of the Savior who initially lied to him and subsequently tried to kill him, Jesus said that Maggie would agree with him while Tara vehemently insisted that Rick would agree that they all needed to be killed. Jesus and Tara butted heads over the matter through the entire episode, and the situation escalated when Morgan emerged from the building in a killing rage, intent on killing the Saviors himself.

Fast forward to this week’s “Monsters” and we see Gregory arrive at the Hilltop. The gates don’t open all the way because he’s not welcome inside. Instead, he is met by Maggie, who confronts him about selling out the Hilltop. She won’t let Gregory inside (as far as we can tell from the clip) and it’s what she decides to do with him that will prove whether Jesus was right or wrong.

Maggie knows how dangerous a self-centered man like Gregory can be. He has already tried to sell her out and he proved that he’s willing to sell out the Hilltop, too. If she lets him live, he will always be a risk to the community. If she executes him, she’s crossing a line that she hasn’t been keen on crossing. It’s like going back to the raid on the Savior’s outpost all over again.

It’s her decision, in the end, that will prove whether Jesus was right or wrong about Maggie.

There is strong support for her decision in either direction. I don’t think there are many people who could find fault with whatever she decides and, in fact, I’d argue that there would be more people concerned about leaving Gregory alive at this point.

My prediction: Maggie is going to surprise all of us. (I have no idea what she’s going to do, but I think her decision will be a surprise to fans)
