The good stuff from TWD 803

  1. The opening scene. Before the opening title sequence even aired, King Ezekiel and the people from The Kingdom wiped out another huge group of The Saviors. This made Ezekiel and his group look very savvy and strong, which is wonderful for their group.
  2. An emotional scene with Aaron and Eric. It’s scenes like this that are great for the show. Supporting characters with a strong bond can build so much for everyone, including main and supporting characters.
  3. The Jared character is such a jerk! There is something fun about a cocky bad guy on a television show. While Jared isn’t quite on the level of Negan, his presence alone made the scenes with The Hilltop and their prisoners of war even better.
  4. “I’m not right, but that doesn’t make me wrong.” Morgan admitting that he’s not right in the head is an important step in his character’s development and needed to be done to get him more balanced. Jesus isn’t making a lot of friends sparing those members of The Saviors.
  5. Gregory accepted his place. It took some yelling from Maggie when Gregory tried to insert himself into the politics of the captured survivors. Maggie forced him to leave the conversation, finally giving up any hope that he ever had of being in any sort of leadership role.
  6. Saving Gracie. Rick saved the baby from the crib and brought her to Aaron. He said he would take the child, and giving him some more purpose after losing Eric is just what he needs right now.
