The Walking Dead 803 recap: ‘Monsters’

Aaron is covered in blood and he looks lost. He hears a baby and looks up to see Rick with Baby Gracie. Aaron says he’ll take her back. He can take her to the Hilltop. Rick hands him the baby and he tells Rick that he was going there with Eric to update Maggie. Rick says her name is Gracie.

Daryl says that he’ll come looking for Rick if he’s gone too long. They’re ambushed. He calls out to the shooter and says he knows he’s alone and the herd is coming. He offers to make a deal to drop the weapon and come out and take a car. He can live. He gives him his word. The man comes out…and Rick asks about the guns. He says they were sent to another outpost. Gavin’s, which is west of their location. He asks if he can go, and Daryl shoots him.

Ezekiel looks at the field full of dead bodies. He gets a report that they’re all accounted for. Carol approaches and says they need to look around, and his men take care of the dead. It’s troubling to see the dead. But suddenly they see that there is a lookout on the tower and they are sitting ducks. Ezekiel tells them to scatter but it’s not enough. His men are shot as they go to protect their King.
