8. Rick’s group don’t finish the job at Terminus

You could argue that going to Terminus in the first place was a very, very bad decision. However, this gave our heroes hope, and it also allowed them to find each other again. They could have tried to be more careful about it, but it was pretty much a leap of faith. We all wanted to believe that Terminus was a real “sanctuary for all”.

“They don’t get to live”… oh, actually, they do

Yet, once they knew what kind of people Gareth and his gang had become, the decision not to hunt them down seems rather careless. As Rick and his group were about to leave Terminus, they went back for the bag of guns they had buried and Rick suggested killing all the remaining Termites: “Take out the rest of them. They don’t get to live.”

It may have felt like it was Crazy Rick speaking – remember he had ripped Joe’s throat out with his teeth only a few episodes earlier. And in fact, four members of the group tried to talk Rick out of this, insisting that it was over: Glenn, Rosita, Maggie, and Abraham. Then Carol showed up, took Rick to Judith, and that was the end of the debate.

Look who’s back!

Still, given what happened next, it seems that Rick’s idea was the right one, after all. The remaining Termites came back to bite them (pun totally intended), big time. Although the only casualty was Bob, who was already a goner because of the walker bite he’d received earlier, the whole group was in grave danger when Gareth and his remaining friends tried to get another shot at turning all of our beloved heroes into dinner.

Besides, you could have expected the group from The Walking Dead to learn lessons from the last time they had neglected to finish off an adversary…
