Fans of The Walking Dead know Lauren Cohan as Maggie Greene, but soon they can see her in the action movie Mile 22 along with Mark Wahlberg and Iko Uwais.

Fans got some fantastic news recently according to a post on the Deadline website. It was announced that Lauren Cohan has been cast in the upcoming action film Mile 22 directed by Peter Berg.

Those unfamiliar with Peter Berg have likely seen some of his films and not realized it. His credits include directing well-known movies like Friday Night Lights, Hancock, Lone Survivor, and Patriots Day as well as producing projects like Ballers, The Leftovers, State of Play, Trauma, and Wonderland.
Not only is having Berg attached to Mile 22 a great thing, but Lauren Cohan will be joining established action stars Mark Wahlberg (Lone Survivor, Max Payne, Four Brothers) and Iko Uwais (The Raid series, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Merantau) on the cast. Rounding out the cast of the project is brilliant actor John Malkovich and former UFC fighter Rhonda Rousey.
If that wasn’t enough to get people interested, the plotline is an interesting one as well:
"“An elite American intelligence officer tries to smuggle a mysterious police officer with sensitive information from a city to a getaway plane at an airport 22 miles away.”"
Congratulations to The Walking Dead actress Lauren Cohan for landing a great role in a movie that seems so promising. Hopefully, Mile 22 will be a huge success and keep her career path skyrocketing toward superstardom.
