Walker Stalker Con recently announced some changes to their ticket options. There were some mixed reviews initially. But Fan Fest owner/CEO James Frazier took to Twitter to explain the benefits.

Walker Stalker Con offers a fans a chance to meet some of their favorite cast members of The Walking Dead and other popular shows. Some fans prefer professional photo ops. Others favor “selfies” with guests who offer them at their tables. Fans can attend panels, shop unique vendors, and visit the Live Stage for fun interviews.

Everyone’s experience is unique to them. Walker Stalker will implement some changes to allow fans to tailor their convention choices even further.

Walker Stalker Con posted a video explaining the changes. They advised that the new prices and packages would take effect for Atlanta 2018 forward.

Walker Stalker Con regularly reaches out to previous attendees for feedback on their convention experience. They have been especially interested in feedback on the Gold and Platinum program to determine how to best serve the consumer.

Walker Stalker Con is your official source for explanation of the changes. But here is our take on the information provided thus far.

Changes

General Admission prices will have a 10% reduction in price. VIP tickets will cost $10 less each. There will also be fewer VIP passes sold. This will create an even more exclusive benefit at the VIP level. There will be fewer Platinum and Gold passes made available for sale as well.

The ticketing link for Walker Stalker Con Atlanta 2018 reveals greatly reduced ticket prices for Platinum and Gold admissions. Atlanta Gold and Platinum tickets are posted at $1200 and $600 each, respectively. These prices are now considered “base” charges as photo ops and autographs previously included at these levels have been removed.

Instead of Platinum and Gold pass holders paying up front for photo ops and autographs that they may or may not desire, the choice is now in the hands of the consumer. The base charge provides the exclusivity associated with early entry to the convention, reduced wait times in line, preferred seating at panels, lunch in the green room, concierge service, and more.

 Choices

Platinum and Gold ticket holders will now have the choice to forego some of the photo ops and autographs previously associated with premium passes.

More from Undead Walking

But for those who still choose to get them, a new code system will be offered for the purchase of  4 single actor photo ops (Gold) and 6 single actor photo ops (Platinum) even if those particular photo ops have otherwise sold out.

Gold and Platinum ticket holders will also be provided codes for the purchase of any and all pre-sale autographs that have otherwise sold out. Walker Stalker does remind that autograph pre-sales still close one week prior to the event regardless.

James Frazier explains it best in a Twitter post saying:

"“Every time there is a sold out autograph, we’ll send [Platinum and Gold ticket holders] a new code so you are able to purchase it. This way, there’s never a sold out autograph for [Platinum and Gold ticket holders].”"

These changes bring Platinum and Gold pass holders both more choice and more guarantees when it comes to additional purchases beyond the base ticket charge.

The first wave of ticket sales for Atlanta 2018 begins November 12th.
